Pre Diploma Progam

The prediploma program for Islamic Studies (PPI) is a part time study which covers various disciplines of Islam at a basic level. It offers an education system that emphasizes aspects of application and understanding based on the daily life.
The program is conducted in Malay.

Program Objectives

This programs aims to provide opportunity to meet the needs of those who do not have the opportunity to attend formal religious learning so as to strengthen their knowledge and pursue to a higher level of Islamic studies. With this, they have the opportunity to deepen their thinking and understanding of Islam in alignment to current needs and challenges.

Admission Criteria

  • This program is open to all aged 17 years and above

  • Participants are to at least attained a primary 6 level of Islamic  education (part time)

  • Participants are to at least attained a primary 6 level of Islamic education

  • For those who do not have the basic religious knowledge, it is recommended to register into the Adult Program (KBD)

Duration and Time

The program will be held in a modular manner for 2 years. Each module will take 6 weeks. Lessons will be held once a week for 2 hours 45 min.

Semester 1

Term 1: Jan - March (13 Weeks)
  • Study Week : 12 weeks

  • Module 1 : 6 weeks

  • Module 2 : 6 weeks

  • School Break : 1 week

Term 2: Apr -June (13 Weeks)
  • Study Week : 12 weeks

  • Module 1 : 6 weeks

  • Module 2 : 6 weeks

  • School Break : 1 week

Semester 2

Term 3: Jul - Sep (13 Weeks)
  • Study Week : 12 weeks

  • Module 1 : 6 weeks

  • Module 2 : 6 weeks

  • School Break : 1 week

Term 4: Oct - Dec (13 Weeks)
  • Study Week : 12 weeks

  • Module 1 : 6 weeks

  • Module 2 : 6 weeks

  • School Break : 1 week

The above program duration is only for terms that do not coincide with Ramadan. Lessons in Ramadan will be replaced with lectures.

Reference Books

The books used for this program are KBM 1 to 4 textbooks and recommended titles for additional reading.

Evaluation and Certification

No examinations throughout the study. Participants will receive certificate of participation in classes and lectures.

 

Award of Certificate

Participants will be awarded a certificate of participation if they successfully meet the following criteria:

  1. Complete 16 modules in a period of not more 3 years. 

  2. Meets 80% attendance rate for each module.

  3. Abide by the rules and regulations set by Board of Directors. 

  4. Confirmation by the Education department. 

  5. Has paid all fees due.

Program Fee

  • The registration fee for this program is $62.00, payable once during the registration. The monthly fee is $84.70.

  • Fees do not include books and supplementary notes.
