Adult Program

This is a part time Islamic program that offers basic modules to fulfill the needs of those who do not have the opportunity to go for formal religious studies.
This program is conducted in Malay.

Program Objectives

By following this program, they can fully understand the basics of Islam and understand more clearly the teachings in order to apply them in their daily life

Entry requirements

  • This program is open to all those aged 17 and over.

  • Participants do not need to have a formal religious education background to participate in this program.

Study Season

  • The program will be held in a modular manner for 2 years. Each module takes 12 weeks. Learning takes place once a week for 1 hr 15 min.

Term 1: Jan - March (13 Weeks)

  • Week of Study: 12 weeks

  • Module 1: 12 weeks

  • Leave: 1 week

Term 3: Jul - Sep (13 Weeks)

  • Week of Study: 12 weeks

  • Module 3: 12 weeks

  • Leave: 1 week

Term 2: Apr -June (13 Weeks)

  • Week of Study: 12 weeks

  • Module 2: 12 weeks

  • Leave: 2 weeks

Term 4: Oct - Dec (13 Weeks)

  • Week of Study: 12 weeks

  • Module 4: 12 weeks

  • Leave: 2 weeks

There are two modules that will be replaced with Lecture sessions in a year.

Subject

  • Aqidah

  • Thoharah

  • Prayer & Advanced Prayers

  • Fasting

  • Zakat

  • Sirah

  • Tafsir

  • Al-Azkar (daily supplications)

Reference book

Books can be obtained at shop.darulandalus.com

The books that will be used for this program are KBR Textbooks 1 to 4 and some books that are recommended as additional reading for participants.

Assessment & Certificates

Assessment System

No exams throughout the study. Participants will be evaluated based on attendance and participation in classes and KBD Lectures.

 

Certificate award

Participants will be awarded a certificate of participation if they successfully meet the following conditions:

  • Completing 16 modules in a period of not more than 3 years.

  • Meets 80% attendance rate for each module.

  • Comply with the rules and regulations set by the Board.

  • Confirmation from the Academic Department.

  • Has paid the fee.

Fees

  • The registration fee for this program is $20.00, payable once during the registration. The monthly fee is $48.

  • Fees do not include books and supplementary notes.
